A pedestrian died Sunday night after he was hit by a car in Portland.
The 37-year-old Portland man was walking on Riverside Street about 7:25 p.m. when he was hit by a car driven by a 26-year-old Portland man, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
The victim was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, Nadeau said Monday morning.
Police have not released the identities of either man.
The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
