The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery announced a hiring freeze on Monday.
In a Facebook post, leaders said the shipyard’s upcoming hiring event on March 4 has been canceled as they “seek to understand and prioritize resources.”
The hiring freeze announcement comes amid ongoing, across the board downsizing and cuts by the Trump administration.
