A man was arrested Thursday after a “threatening incident” in Milford.
A woman told police about 8:45 a.m. that a man was armed with a gun and had fired it at a residence on Henderson Lane, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The man then left the residence after allegedly making more threats, the sheriff’s office said Thursday.
Police descended on the scene and deployed additional resources to Milford’s school and a nearby day care.
Officers soon learned that the man, whose identity hasn’t been released, was walking on County Road in Milford, where he was taken into custody. He wasn’t armed when arrested by police, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation is ongoing.
No additional information was immediately available.
