BAR HARBOR — The Oceanarium and Education Center is excited to announce the third annual Maine Ocean Festival, taking place on June 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Maine Ocean Festival was created to unite our community for a day of education, exploration and fun! Since our inaugural year, the festival has welcomed entertainers, speakers, artists and advocates from Maine, New England, and beyond. This year, we are thrilled to welcome back beloved entertainers such as The Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers and to introduce new ones, including Firefly The Hybrid, magician Peter Boie and KindKids Music. Many may not realize that this event is a crucial fundraiser, supporting the Oceanarium’s annual operations and facility costs while celebrating our oceans!
With the addition of games, crafts, raffles, and more, this year’s festival promises to be our best yet!
Whether you live nearby or are in a faraway state, we invite you to participate in our 2025 festival auction. The Oceanarium will host a digital charity auction during the week leading up to the festival, from June 15 to June 20. This is the second year for our online auction and will feature a variety of items generously donated by local businesses, including Windowpanes, Golf of Maine, Bar Harbor Whale Watch and many other wonderful businesses.
