Update: Three Bangor police officers have been placed on leave.
One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting on Thursday on outer Broadway in Bangor near the Glenburn town line.
Bangor police responded to a 911 call on Broadway for a suicidal person with a gun at around 2:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley.
When police arrived at the house they heard gunshots.
One person was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive, McAmbley said.
Traffic in both directions on outer Broadway was still closed as of 4:20 p.m. Northbound traffic is closed to motorists at the intersection of Broadway and Finson Road.
