HALLOWELL (WGME) — The Maine Warden Service says the body of a 15-year-old boy was recovered from an old quarry in Hallowell Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said the teenager was swimming with three 16-year-old friends at the time of the incident.
Hallowell police, firefighters and the Maine Warden Service searched for the missing boy Wednesday afternoon.
His body was recovered and his family has been notified.
His body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
