An 84-year-old Lincoln man died on Wednesday after his motorcycle went off the road in a Washington County township.

Maine State Police received a report of the crash on Route 6 in Kossuth at about 3:25 p.m., Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said.

The driver, Dean Bradbury, was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the road. His 2000 Honda Shadow went off the north side of the road into a wooded area, and he was thrown from the bike, Moss said.

Bradbury was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet when he crashed, Moss said.
