Maine drug enforcement agents arrested two men on drug charges, Tuesday, at a Route 1 home in the town of Hancock.
The arrests came after a months-long drug trafficking investigation that included undercover agents buying cocaine base (crack), according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
On Tuesday afternoon, members of the Maine State Police Tactical Team raided the 1122 Route 1 home of Roland Potter. The tactical team was called in because of the threat of firearms and criminal histories of suspects, according to the MDEA. Additionally, Route 1 traffic was detoured during the search.
Police allegedly seized evidence of drug trafficking and two firearms, including an illegally modified (sawed-off) shotgun, the MDEA said.
Potter, 38, of Hancock, was arrested and charged with Class A aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs. The charge was aggravated because of the presence of a firearm in furtherance of the offense, the MDEA said. No bail has been set.
Justin Gray, 43, of Blue Hill, was arrested and charged with Class B unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs. His bail was set at $2,500.
