A woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly abusing a child at a Brewer day care.
Blake Sullivan, 35, of Carmel is facing criminal charges in Penobscot County Superior Court. She is charged with assault on a child less than 6 years old, a Class C felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a Class D misdemeanor; and reckless conduct, a Class D misdemeanor.
The abuse allegedly happened at Elevate Child Care Center in Brewer on April 2, the Penobscot County District Attorney’s Office said.
The center did not immediately return a request for comment.
Sullivan is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
