Two men have been accused of shooting up a woman’s car and home in Glenburn and then leading police on a chase on Sunday.

George Overlock, 36, of Carmel has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking, possession of firearms by a prohibited person, refusing to stop for law enforcement, aggravated criminal mischief, criminal speeding, driving to endanger, refusal to submit to arrest or detention, burglary, operating after habitual offender revocation and violating conditions of release, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Raphael Cupidon, 22, of Massachusetts has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking and refusal to submit to arrest or detention, the sheriff’s office said Monday afternoon.

Overlock, Cupidon and at least one other person were wearing ski masks about 3:10 p.m. when they began shooting guns at a Danforth Drive home and a car outside, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

No one inside the home was hurt.

Deputies found the fleeing suspects in a truck on Union Street in Hermon, where Overlock, who was allegedly driving, then tried to flee from police, leading them onto Davis Road in Bangor and then Finson Road.

On Finson Road, the vehicle slowed down, and Cupidon and another person jumped out and fled on foot while the vehicle headed back to Glenburn, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies continued following the getaway vehicle, which Overlock abandoned and then allegedly broke into a Lake View Road home to hide from police. When deputies entered the home and tried to arrest him, Overlock allegedly resisted, according to the sheriff’s office.

During that break in, the homeowners’ dog, a 9-year-old English mastiff named Rosie, escaped and hasn’t been seen since. The homeowners were away when the break in happened.

Police dogs tracked Cupidon, who fled on foot through woods off Finson Road, to a hiding spot under a mobile home.

Police have executed search warrants in Bangor and Hampden, seizing half a kilo of drugs and two handguns.

Officers continue to search for others involved in the shooting.

“No additional information will be provided at this time to avoid compromising the investigation,” the sheriff’s office said Monday.
