A Denmark man was critically injured Thursday evening in a crash in Baldwin.

Ashtin Harding, 21, was attempting to pass a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by 20-year-old Sebastian Mull of Baldwin on Pequawket Trail about 5:10 p.m. when they “made contact,” causing both drivers to lose control and go off the road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Harding was flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.

Mull wasn’t injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
