Ethan Eisenhaur is a hobby photographer who grew up in the mountains of western Maine.

Now living in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, he still enjoys spending as much time in the wilderness as he can, and he often creates reels of the wildlife he encounters.

Snapping photos of wildlife in the moment is always thrilling, but there’s a unique excitement in setting a camera trap and later discovering which creatures wandered past.

Ethan placed one of these traps — a Canon 6D set with three flashes, $1500 of equipment strapped to a tree, out in the woods of western Maine.

Over the span of a month, he captured plenty of wildlife, though a curious bear couldn’t resist giving the camera a little adjustment.
