A Mississippi man allegedly fired a gun while driving through old Capehart in Bangor early Monday morning.

Trai Moore, 24, of Gulfport, Mississippi, has been charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, criminal restraint, resisting and disorderly conduct, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Moore was allegedly driving a white sedan through old Capehart and firing a gun.

Officers tracked Moore down to a motel on Odlin Road, where he refused to get out of his car, beginning a short standoff with police, McAmbley said Tuesday morning.

He was eventually taken into custody.

Moore was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Tuesday morning.
