The Marden’s in Brewer is moving to Bangor.

Marden’s bought the former Burlington Coat Factory in Bangor at 229 Springer Drive, General Manager Fox Keim said Monday.

The Maine-based salvage retailer first opened its doors in Brewer in the 1980s and is currently located at 564 Wilson St. The new location in Bangor is similar in size but will be much better suited to efficient retail operations, Keim said.

Renovations are ongoing at the 85,000-square-foot building to prepare for the move, Keim said.

The store should open in early 2026, he said.

Burlington Coat Factory moved out of the Springer Drive location this year and is preparing to open near the intersection of Bangor Mall Boulevard and Hogan Road.
