On Saturday, Sept. 13th in Presque Isle, the host Wildcats girls and boys soccer teams both had strong offensive showings to defeat the Old Town Coyotes. The girls final was 4-2, and the boys final was 8-0.
In the girls game, Presque Isle’s Emily Collins tallied the only goal of the first half when she gathered a clearing attempt by the Coyotes and launched a shot from the top of the penalty box into the net less than two minutes into the game. Annamarie Blanchard gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead early in the second half, and then the Coyotes and Wildcats traded goals, Taylor Madden and Liv Lizotte for Old Town, Peyton Boinske and Lucy Cheney for Presque Isle, for the final score of 4-2. The Wildcats up their record to 2-1, and the Coyotes fall to 1-2.

In the boys game, the Wildcats had goals from six different players, as they decisively defeated the Old Town Coyotes. Trenton Mastro and Carter Vigue each had two goals, with single goals by Jackson Greaves, Spencer Freeman, Brandon Porter, and Hudson Porter. Wildcat goalies Griffen Berry and Ben Waugh, behind a strong defensive effort, combined on Presque Isle’s third straight shut-out. The Wildcats move to 3-0, and the Coyotes drop to 0-3.
