If you’re looking to get a pair of Cooper Flagg’s first exclusive basketball shoes, you may need to wait. Or you may need to have large feet.
That’s because after just a day of being available online, the new Hesi Low v2 x Cooper Flagg shoes from New Balance are nearly sold out on the company’s website as of Thursday morning — with the exception of the two largest sizes of men’s 17 and 18, and women’s 18.5 and 19.5.
The new Flagg-exclusive version of New Balance’s low-top and lightweight basketball shoe features a color scheme designed to honor Flagg’s Maine roots.
The shoe retails at $119.99 when available on the New Balance website. Flagg fans and sneakerheads can still purchase the shoes via online resale marketplaces, but for a premium.
A pair of men’s size 10 is currently listed at $566 on resale site StockX, for example. The same is true for a women’s pair in size 11.5. Resale platform GOAT has men’s size 14 and 15 listed for $427.
New Balance released the new Hesi Low v2 x Cooper Flagg on Wednesday to coincide with Flagg’s NBA regular season debut with the Dallas Mavericks. He was wearing a pair of those shoes on the court against the San Antonio Spurs. Flagg started slow Wednesday night but still managed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Flagg signed a significant endorsement deal with New Balance in 2024, and the company has a production facility in Skowhegan, Maine, not too far from Flagg’s hometown of Newport.
“I’m taking the next step in my career, but I’m always going to be a product of my hometown in Maine,” Flagg said last week when New Balance announced the shoe release. “Working with the New Balance design team on this has been really cool and it allows me to take a piece of Newport with me as I step onto the court for my first official NBA game.”
New Balance only manufactures some of its shoes domestically, and a spokesperson for New Balance confirmed last week that the Flagg version of the shoe is not made in Maine.
