UPDATE: The missing girls were found safe on Thursday afternoon.
A search is underway for two missing girls in Topsham who were last seen on a school playground, according to MSAD 75.
Superintendent Heidi O’Leary said the second-grade students are described as two girls, both 7, both with brown hair and brown eyes.
The Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency said Sofia Garza was last seen wearing a white fury jacket and Olivia Burch was last seen wearing a blue L.L. Bean jacket.
The girls were last seen on the Woodside Elementary School playground at approximately 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
Police are actively assisting in the search.
