The homes that are selling in Maine paint a picture of what prospective buyers are looking for — and what they can afford.

Rather than showing homes that are for sale, we wanted to feature a few local properties that residents have bought in recent weeks. All are single-family houses with an average selling price of around $500,000, nearly double the price of an average Bangor home, which rested around $281,500 as of Friday.

Here are five homes in Bangor that local agents have sold so far this month. Most were sold by NextHome Experience. The homes on Grove Street and Finson Road were listed by Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group and True North Realty, respectively.
