A power outage along Union Street in Bangor left about 3,251 Versant customers without electricity Sunday morning.
The outage stretched from just above the Hammond Street intersection up toward the Hermon town line. The Bangor International Airport and neighborhoods around Ohio Street were also affected.
Versant spokesperson Emily Tadlock said the outage was caused by “animal contact on the line,” which she said was the result of a squirrel making contact with equipment.
Versant estimated that power would be restored by 11:30 a.m.
