ROCKLAND, Maine (WGME) — A sex offender from Arkansas has once again been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in Maine.

During a traffic stop in Rockland on Sunday, police said they learned 23-year-old Jonathon Daugherty of Arkansas was continuing to fail to comply with Maine sex offender registration laws and his court ordered “check-in” conditions of release.

Daugherty was arrested and charged with failure to comply with sex offender registry and violation of conditions of release.

Police said Daugherty, who has a non-extraditable warrant out of Arkansas for failure to appear and register as a sex offender, was out on bail after being arrested in Rockland in November for failure to comply with sex offender registration, refusal to submit to arrest or detention and failing to provide correct name and date of birth.

Daugherty was taken to the Knox County Jail.
