A Bangor man was arrested Wednesday after reportedly leading police on a vehicle and foot chase through parts of Broadway.

Corey Paradise, 52, reportedly left the scene when Bangor Police Officer Brian Cronk attempted to perform a traffic stop near the intersection of Griffin Road and Broadway at around 12:28 p.m., according to Sgt. Jeremy Brock. Paradise was wanted for an outstanding warrant, and was not supposed to be operating a vehicle.

Paradise reportedly sped away from the attempted traffic stop, before stopping the vehicle on outer Broadway and getting out of the vehicle to flee on foot. Cronk continued to chase Paradise before the man was apprehended on Pushaw Road by other members of the Bangor Police Department.

Paradise faces Class E charges of refusing to stop for a law enforcement officer, driving to endanger and operating with a suspended or revoked license.

Paradise was transported to Penobscot County Jail on Wednesday afternoon. Further details were not immediately available.
