As the year comes to a close, we continue to be thankful for all who help make what we do at the Courageous Steps Project possible every day. A lot has changed in 12 years, in the past two years, and especially this year. We have grown by more than 150% in two years, serving children and families all over the region (even having an impact in seven counties), and although challenging at times, seeing the impact we’ve had on lives across the region and state is worth it all.

We have some ambitious goals as we head into 2026 and beyond, and I can’t wait to continue sharing the updates as we go. Some of this will happen soon and some of it may take some time. We’ve learned that growth is not linear. As we continue to navigate opportunities, it will be in the best interest of the mission and families we serve. There’s nothing more important than that in my eyes!

As you are thinking about your end-of-year giving plans, consider Courageous Steps. We’ve even designed a cool page where you can learn about what we do and see the different connections to our mission. From becoming a monthly recurring donor, to designating a gift from your IRA, we can take special steps forward together.

Thank you for your trust in us. We could not do what we do without your support, and we will need it more than ever as we step forward!
