A Bangor man allegedly assaulted police officers just hours into the new year.
Skyler Wright, 27, has been charged with refusing to submit to arrest, operating under the influence and assault on an officer, according to Sgt. Jeremy Brock, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
Wright was driving on Harthorn Avenue about 3:35 a.m. Thursday when he apparently went off the road, Brock said Friday morning.
Wright was allegedly showing signs of impairment when officers arrived. He allegedly became uncooperative when police tried to administer a field sobriety test.
Then as officers tried to arrest him, Wright allegedly assaulted the officers, one of whom was taken to the hospital for treatment.
