A tractor-trailer driver crashed in Gilead on Wednesday morning when he lost control on an icy road.

Mark Keddy of New Hampshire was driving the 2022 Western Star tractor-trailer west on Route 2 about 6:28 a.m. when he lost control on an icy patch of the road and went through a guardrail, according to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.

Keddy wasn’t injured in the crash. The tractor-trailer was significantly damaged.

The tractor-trailer was owned by SDS Logging Inc. of Jefferson, New Hampshire.

Gilead is near the New Hampshire border west of Bethel.
