The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office seized methamphetamine and made several arrests Friday during the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Mohawk Road in Enfield, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office special response team served the warrant at about 12:30 p.m., marking the second time in recent months that the property has been searched.
Several people were taken into custody on outstanding failure-to-appear warrants, including Samuel Michaud, 56, of Enfield; Alon Whitney, 44, of Enfield; Clinton Rhoades, 47, of Enfield; Kelly Slobuszewski, 43, of Lagrange; Beau Gagnon, 34, of Lincoln; and Benjamin Jay, 34, of Enfield.
In addition, Amie LaFountain, 34, of Mattawamkeag, was charged with unlawful possession of scheduled W drugs.
Authorities said Michaud was found hiding in a crawl space in an apparent attempt to evade law enforcement, while Jay, who is on probation, was located under a tarp behind a stack of tires in the yard.
After the initial search, Lincoln police obtained and executed a second warrant at the residence, leading to the recovery of stolen property.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Lincoln Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations
