Update: Stephen Bies was found later Monday evening and is safe.
A Silver Alert was issued for Stephen Bies of West Paris, an Oxford County town, on Monday evening.
Bies, 73, was last seen at around 11:30 a.m. at his home on Stearns Hill Road, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss. Bies left his residence on foot.
The approximately 6-foot-tall man was seen wearing a green Columbia jacket, blue jeans, green muck boots, and an orange and black colored hat that has a pom pom. Bies wears glasses.
He weighs around 160 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes. Bies had cognitive issues, according to Moss.
