PORTLAND — The Escape Room on Congress Street is unlocking a big new chapter in downtown Portland with an exciting expansion and the launch of a brand-new immersive escape room experience. The locally owned business has expanded into the neighboring unit, adding 2,000 square feet of new space designed to bring even bigger adventures, bigger groups and bigger fun to the city.
The expansion includes two new escape rooms and a dedicated event room available for private parties, birthdays, team-building events and celebrations. With the added space, The Escape Room can now host larger groups while continuing to deliver the high-quality, story-driven experiences players know and love.
Launching is the first of the new rooms, Curse of the Jade Skull. Built for 2–8 players and rated a moderate difficulty level, this room drops players straight into a pulse-pounding jungle adventure filled with clever puzzles, immersive environments and a race against time.
Hidden deep within the Latin American jungles lies an ancient Aztec tomb riddled with countless puzzles, challenges and dangerous traps. It wasn’t until recently that adventurers discovered this tomb to be the location of the legendary Jade Skull. Prized for its source of unimaginable power during battle, it’s finally on the brink of being found. You and your crew are tasked with retrieving the Jade Skull before the tomb collapses and the artifact is lost to time!
In addition to new escape rooms, the expansion introduces a flexible event room where groups can gather before or after their game. The space makes The Escape Room an ideal destination for celebrations, corporate outings, and group experiences — all right in the heart of downtown Portland.
