Rep Jared Golden’s vote to increase funding for ICE makes clear to me that he does not care or advocate for the people of Maine. What could possibly have encouraged him to take that vote given the horrible ICE murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti?

I believe the outright lawlessness of the administration, complete disregard for the rule of law, ignoring Constitutional rights ought to have required a congressman and veteran who has pledged allegiance to the Constitution to vote “no.” ICE and Customs and Border Protection already are funded with an additional $170 billion, greater than the Russian military.

What possible reason does Golden have to increase funding for the administration’s brutal tactics, clearly attempting to scare us away from voting in November? I think that’s obviously the reason Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, Pam Bondi and the rest of this lawless leadership are taking these unthinkable acts of cruelty — to silence opposition.

What we witness thanks to brave people with cell phones belies the instant, grossly inaccurate analysis the government uses to reframe what is right before our eyes. No real investigation!

And now Bondi wants to blackmail Minnesota for the people’s voting records. What is next for Maine?

Since Golden is not seeking reelection and a lame duck, what force is at work that encouraged him to take what I see as a repulsive, unacceptable vote? Did he think we would not notice? Is he supporting a fascist administration?

I am disappointed with myself that I ever supported his candidacy.
