Shame on this administration and on all the Republicans in Congress who support its lies and attempts to smear a gentle and good man who was murdered by immigration agents last weekend. We, the people, still have eyes to see and ears to hear, and we know that a good man who contributed to his community and lived to help others was killed in cold blood by what I believe are angry, cowardly men who had no thoughts of doing good. Men like these are back on the streets of Minneapolis, freely going about their violent work of tearing apart communities and depriving people of their constitutional rights, while a real champion of humanity lies dead.
The baseless lies about him that the administration thinks the American people will believe are so far from his real character as attested to by those who knew and loved him and worked with him at the ICU unit caring for veterans. They are so far from the truth as to be an example of how unhinged this president and these cabinet members really are. Do they really think we will buy this?
This rogue force now has billions of taxpayer dollars to spend on terrorizing the American people, inflicting pain and chaos, robbing us of our constitutional rights, and even killing us. The Republicans in Congress could stop all this but are too cowardly to do so. I believe they are an embarrassment.
When we stand up in force, day after day, as the brave people of Minneapolis have done, they will notice. I stood up this week with my little sign in the freezing weather in Ellsworth, because I love my country and I believe we are better than this. Will you join me?
