A Brunswick man was arrested Saturday morning after police say he broke into a Linnell Circle home and attacked the homeowner with a baseball bat and knife.
Brunswick police say they received a call at 6:41 a.m. reporting a shirtless man yelling in the area of 64 Linnell Circle. When officers arrived, they found Timothy Miller, 41, of Brunswick, with several injuries to his face and body.
Police said a homeowner had woken to find Miller inside their residence after he had broken in. Miller allegedly attacked the homeowner with a baseball bat and was also armed with a knife. The homeowner defended himself, causing Miller’s injuries. The two men know each other, police said.
Miller then left the home and appeared to be attempting to enter another residence when officers arrived, but he did not get inside.
He was taken to Mid Coast Hospital for treatment and will be held without bail upon his release. Miller is scheduled to appear April 21 in Cumberland County Superior Court.
He was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, and violating conditions of release.
