A group home worker from Bangor was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting a resident at a group home in Hermon.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residential group home at about 4:50 p.m. after receiving a report that an employee had assaulted a resident.
The victim was taken to a hospital, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
Following an investigation, Innocent Muzungu, 26, of Bangor, was charged with intentionally endangering the welfare of a dependent person, assault and obstructing the report of a crime.
Muzungu was arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail.
