A man was found dead in Augusta on Monday night.

The body was found on Flagg Street about 11:15 p.m., according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

His body was taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta, where an autopsy will determine a cause and manner of death, Moss said Tuesday morning.

Moss said there’s not any threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
