A China man died Monday afternoon after a collision in Vassalboro.
Ryan Page, 48, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck on Route 3, near Ritch Road, about 3:40 p.m. when he crossed the center line and collided with a Ford F-650 driven by 64-year-old Douglas Boivin of Jay, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Boivin tried to swerve out of Page’s way but couldn’t avoid the collision, Moss said Tuesday morning.
A third vehicle hit a guardrail while trying to avoid the wreckage.
Page died at the scene, while Boivin wasn’t injured. The third driver, whose identity wasn’t released, suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
