A Bangor man allegedly tried to burglarize a business in Old Orchard Beach last month.

Austin Gardner, 19, has been charged with possession of burglary tools, aggravated criminal mischief, attempted burglary, operating after suspension and violating his conditions of release, according to the Old Orchard Beach Police Department.

Gardner allegedly tried to burglarize a business on Ocean Park Road just after 12 a.m. on Jan. 22, police said.

In a surveillance video, a man wearing a dark-colored coat, blue balaclava and a backpack over his chest approached the business and banged on a window to no effect.

He then left in a mid-2000s Ford F-150, according to police.

Gardner was free on nine sets of bail conditions when he allegedly tried to break into the business.
