A man found dead after a fight in Standish on Tuesday has been identified as 23-year-old Thomas Foster of Porter.

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies received a call at 9:28 p.m. about a fight at a Kennie Drive home. When the officers arrived, they found the man later identified as Foster dead, and a second man who was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to state police.

After an autopsy, the cause of Foster’s death was determined to be a gunshot wound. His death has been ruled a homicide.

State police on Thursday said the investigation is ongoing and there is no danger to the public.
