On Sunday night, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will meet in Super Bowl LX.
As the Patriots try to score another Lombardi Trophy, there’s one Mainer who’s seen all six and is hoping to witness number seven.
Kennebunk’s Don Crisman is one of three fans who have seen all 59 Super Bowls. On Sunday night in Santa Clara, he’ll make it an even 60, a number he never thought was possible.
“I mean, this whole thing is kind of unexpected. Number one, I didn’t expect to live this long. I’ll be 90 if I make it to May. So I didn’t think 60 was in the cards, so here we are,” Crisman said.
Crisman is a huge Patriots fan who never anticipated the Pats would still be playing in February.
“I really thought they were going to be 9-8 or 8-9. An improvement and good future ahead, but 14-3 was never even in consideration,” Crisman said. “We have a press conference on Friday and luncheon and on Saturday, we usually go to the cannon affair, and we’ll try and make every function, a couple and I’m ready for a nap.”
Once the confetti flies Sunday night, Crisman said his super streak will come to an end.
“I know I’ve said it 10 times it was over, but this is the end. This is the end,” Crisman said.
If the Patriots win Sunday, it’ll be the perfect ending to an amazing streak.
“The Patriots are the cherry on the cake,” he said. “Good way to go out, and hopefully it’s with a W.”
