Aiden Jeffers has looked unstoppable throughout Maine’s Class C North high school basketball tournament. And he didn’t let up at the end of the regional championship game.
With the ball in his hands and less than 6 seconds on the clock, Jeffers dribbled to his left and jumped up toward the hoop. He hung in the air between two defenders, and somehow finished the leaning jump-shot in the lane.
That skillful bucket gave his Fort Kent team a 48-47 win as time expired and sent the Warriors to the Class C state title game.
