What makes people hate people who are Black or brown, who are women and not-male-enough men? What makes people call others names? What makes someone want to put their name on things that are not theirs? Big questions.
During the Holocaust, male Jews had to take the middle name Israel and women had to add Sarah to their name. Maybe the current president will soon require all men to take Donald as their middle name and women, Melania.
Is that a step too far? What more could be a step too far? Would you say “no” then?
