Turner

Timothy Turner was selected Maine County Official of March in honor of his community service by Spirit of America Foundation’s Maine Chapter.

Turner has been serving as an Oxford County Commissioner since his election to that position in 2014, he has served a number of years as chair.

He has a long career in law enforcement, including 25 years as a Maine state trooper and service as a military policeman in the Army Reserves.

Turner’s extensive involvement in community service and youth programs has made him a well-known local volunteer.

For example, Turner coached youth football for 15 years in Oxford Hills and four years in Buckfield. He led with integrity, fostered strong trusting relationships, provided positive feedback, inspired growth and taught the young people lessons beyond the game.

Turner also has played a key role in all Oxford County annual Spirit of America ceremonies honoring volunteers for their outstanding community service.
