A man allegedly tried to kill his girlfriend by setting their bed on fire Monday in Wiscasset.
Terry Couture, 41, has been charged with attempted murder, arson, aggravated criminal mischief and domestic violence criminal threatening, according to the Wiscasset Police Department.
Couture got into a disagreement with his girlfriend while they were both in bed at his Beechnut Hill Road home. He then allegedly set the bed on fire.
No one was injured in the blaze.
He was arrested.
The investigation is ongoing.
