A Guilford man allegedly held a woman against her will at gunpoint at a Bangor motel this week.
Joseph Pepin, 48, has been charged with kidnapping, domestic violence criminal threatening and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to Sgt. Jeremy Brock, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
Pepin was staying with the woman in a motel room on Odlin Road this week, and then on Wednesday night, he allegedly threatened her with a gun and kept her from leaving.
The woman managed to escape and call the police, Brock said.
Pepin was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Friday morning, according to the jail’s website.
