It’s win-or-go-home hockey on Friday night for the University of Maine Black Bears and Boston College Eagles.
The two men’s hockey teams are meeting for Hockey East playoff action at 7 p.m. in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The winner will advance to the conference semifinals next weekend at the TD Garden in Boston.
Boston College is hosting UMaine at the Conte Forum on Friday night, and the game will be broadcast on NESN. The quarterfinal matchup will also be available on ESPN+, which requires a subscription, as well as paid streaming services like Fubo.
Boston College is the No. 4 team in the Hockey East conference tournament and UMaine is the No. 5 seed.
UMaine enters Friday’s game with an overall record of 18-13-3 and is 4-1-1 in its last six games. BC is 19-14-1 and has lost four-straight games.
The two teams split a regular season series at Boston College in November. The Eagles took the first game 7-3 and the Black Bears responded with a 3-0 win the following night.
