The Bangor Daily News and Ellsworth Public Library will co-host an event next week for local residents to meet with BDN staff and talk about local news stories and the BDN’s coverage in Hancock County.

The event will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 25, at the library at 20 State St. People are encouraged to bring their lunch with them as they meet and chat with Sabrina Martin, the BDN’s new Ellsworth and Acadia reporter, and other BDN staff including Coastal Editor Bill Trotter and Director of Development Jo Easton.

The BDN hopes to hear from attendees about what sort of specific or general information area residents want from their local news sources.

Attendees can also bring their digital devices if they have questions about accessing the Bangor Daily News online, either with their phones, tablets or laptops.

There is no formal agenda for the event, which is expected to last roughly 90 minutes.
