The body of a 19-year-old man who went missing in Orono in January has been found.
Chance Lauer was last seen on Jan. 19 at the Orchard Trail Apartments, where he lived.
Police at the time said he did not have a vehicle, his wallet was found in his room and his cell phone was off.
On Tuesday, his body was found in a retention pond near the apartment complex, the Orono Police Department said in a news release. He was identified by the the state medical examiner’s office.
The department did not indicate how Lauer died but said, “At this point there is nothing suspicious about the death.”
