A Milford man was arrested on a drug trafficking charge after a probation search turned up methamphetamine at his residence, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies working with Maine Probation and Parole searched a home on French Settlement Road on Thursday, seizing two backpacks.

A search warrant was obtained to open the bags, and investigators found 23.5 gross grams of methamphetamine inside one of them, according to a statement.

Anthony St. Louis, 43, of Milford was arrested the next day and transported to the Penobscot County Jail. He faces a charge of unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs.
