STANDISH — In advance of 2026 Giving Day on March 18, at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce a $5,000 donation to the college in support of the student experience at the Standish-based college. Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising campaign that raises money to “support SJC students and give them the tools they need to rise.”
“In 2026, our theme is ‘Monks on the Move’ and we’ll be celebrating the incredible community and reach of SJC using images from proud alums across the country,” said Lindsay Drumm, a member of the Corporate Partnerships and Institutional Advancement team at the college. “Thanks to a match from a private donor, SJC will raise an additional $50,000 if a donation is received from every single state.”
Donors can actually choose which programs and services will directly benefit from their dollars, including Community Rising, which addresses student programming, facility upgrades, academic support and technological advances; SJC Scholarships, which provides aid to deserving students in need; and Royal Blue, which supports SJC athletic programs.
“Since 1912, St.Joseph’s College of Maine has offered a high-quality academic and social experience for tens of thousands of students who have then gone on to become community contributors throughout our state and beyond,” said Dan Walsh, president and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this support and make an investment in a place that, for generations, has given students, faculty, and the wider community so much.”
