The Maine Warden Service is seeking information about a snowmobile rider who mowed down saplings valued at more than $20,000 at a York County nursery.

The damage at Pierson Nurseries in Dayton was caused sometime between Feb. 26 and Feb. 28.

The Warden Service said the snowmobiler went off the marked trail and rode through a roped-off area, running over and damaging numerous small trees and saplings.

The Saco Pathfinders Snowmobile Club, Maine Snowmobile Association and Maine Operation Game Thief are offering rewards totaling $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.
