Maine actor Timothy Simons has been chosen to deliver the University of Maine’s undergraduate commencement address at this spring’s graduation ceremonies.

A day after news broke that Bangor radio legend George Hale had been fired, Blueberry Broadcasting Vice President Bruce Biette said it was time to “evolve the station.”

Former Brewer pitcher Matt Pushard got the call from the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be the first Brewer native on the Major League Baseball roster since 1971.
