I am an American electrical engineer who worked with the Atomic Energy Commission in Boston and at the Jackass Flats, Nevada atomic energy proving grounds years ago. Taking 20% electric utility-grade uranium to 60% to 90% enriched weapons grade material is not as difficult today as it used to be. And Iran was close to having weapons-grade material. They even allegedly bragged about it!
A nuclear war with Iran would likely kill thousands perhaps millions of people. An estimated 70,000 to 80,000 people were killed instantly on Aug. 6, 1946 in Hiroshima, Japan with 80-year-old atomic bomb technology. Present-day nuclear weapons technology is far more lethal. Imagine what Iran would do today with nuclear warheads on the missiles they are sending all over the Middle East.
We must never allow evil regimes to have atomic weapons. I believe President Donald Trump is doing the right thing.
