BATH – Bath Iron Works (BIW) said Friday evening that it and the Bath Marine Draftsmen Association (BMDA) have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract.

This could potentially end a strike that started Sunday, March 22, when hundreds of technical staff walked out over wages, healthcare costs, and retirement benefits.

The shipyard says union members will vote on the new contract on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Brunswick High School, requiring their company badge for entry.
